Herman Schroeder

Herman founded Schroeder Capital Management, LLC in 2017 to help individuals and families build wealth, prepare for retirement and feel confident in their finances.

Prior to founding the business, Herman had a career in investment banking at UBS in New York, focusing on Global Industrials.

Herman also worked as an auditor for real estate and industrial clients at KPMG in London. He began his career in 2005 as an Equity Analyst at Imalivest, a South African Hedge Fund, and also held roles in credit trading and operations at UBS in Stamford and Morgan Stanley in London.

Herman received his M.A. in Economics and Accounting from the University of Edinburgh in 2005. He graduated with an MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia in 2014, with a specialization in Asset Management, Private Equity, and Finance. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA) and CFA charterholder.

A South African native, Herman now lives in Brooklyn with his wife and three children, and enjoys watching rugby in his free time.
